How to make Paneer tikka sandwich

  1. Into a bowl, add 1 tbsp mustard oil, now to this add 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder, mix the oil and chilli very well. By doing so the colour in the marination comes very nice.
  2. Paneer tikka sandwich – Now, to that add 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/4th tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp black salt, 1 pinch roasted kasuri methi powder, 1 pinch cardamom powder, this is optional.
  3. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp thick curd, and salt to taste.
  4. Mix everything well, basically we have made a tandoori marinade here.
  5. This is what will give it a tandoori flavour.
  6. You can see that I’ve nicely mixed everything together.
  7. I’m doing an optional step of taking a live coal, adding ghee on top and covering the bowl.
  8. Paneer tikka sandwich – Adding ghee will do the major work of adding the tandoori flavour to this marinade.
  9. So try it at home, if you don’t have coals, you can burn a cinnamon stick and add as well.
  10. You can skip it if you want, but if you do it, you will really enjoy it.
  11. Remove the lid after covering it for 2-3 minutes.
  12. Carefully remove the coal and put it under running water.
  13. You can see that our tandoori marinade is ready.
  14. This tandoori marinade that we made will give it that tandoori or tikka flavour.
  15. A simple process has to be done of sauteing paneer, onions and capsicum with the marinade in a pan, and our filling will be ready and we will make the sandwich.
  16. Just you have to make this marinade, which takes about 5 minutes.
  17. The rest of the filling will be ready and within 10 – 15 minutes, your job will be done.
  18. Here, you can see that I’ve diced 250 grams of paneer, I’ve also diced one large onion too, and I’ve diced 2 medium capsicum like this as well.
  19. Now, heat a wok on high flame.
  20. Now, to this add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp oil.
  21. We’ve added oil to prevent the butter from burning.
  22. Once oil and butter are hot, then add chopped onion to it, just stir it and cook it for 1- 2 minutes, Once  it’s slightly translucent, then add diced capsicum to it.
  23. Cook the capsicum on high flame for 1 minute.

  33. Add salt to taste.
  34. Stir it nicely and our paneer tikka filling is ready.
  35. Transfer it to a bowl and bring it to room temperature by cooling it down.
  36. Once this filling cools down, we have to mix mayonnaise to it.
  37. Before mixing it, I’m transferring half quantity into a bowl.
  38. Prepare filling as per the number of sandwiches that you would like to make at a time.
  39. Here, I’m adding 2-3 tbsp of mayonnaise.
  40. And some freshly chopped coriander leaves and I’m mixing it well.
  41. Adding mayonnaise gives it a very creamy texture.
  42. If you don’t want to add mayonnaise, it’s completely optional, you can directly add this filling to make this sandwich.
  43. Paneer tikka sandwich – Our filling for paneer tikka sandwich is perfectly ready.

  47. Apply it evenly, you can see how nicely I’ve spread it here.
  48. Here, I’m placing a cheese slice on top.
  49. Cheese slice is completely optional, but it tastes amazing if you add it.
  50. After adding cheese slices, place the other sandwich bread on top, lightly press it so sandwich comes together.
  51. Our sandwich is ready!
  52. Now we have to grill it.

  56. Once your pan is nice and hot, apply some butter to it.
  57. After applying butter, place the sandwich.
  58. Place a plate on top and then apply gentle pressure, to get those grill marks.
  59. Now, cook this sandwich on medium low flame patiently for 2-3 minutes until it turns crisp on one side.
  60. After 2-3 minutes, let’s remove the plate and check.
  61. You can see that the sandwich is nicely grilled.
  62. Now apply some more butter on the raw side of the sandwich.
  63. So that we can cook the sandwich nicely on the other side too.
